Just a reminder that there will be No School this week on Wednesday, September 18th for our Sprouts at the ELC. This is due to our scheduled Teacher Institute Day.
Please save the date for our Family Happiness Night on September 26th from 4:30-6:00 pm. We will be learning and practicing the 5 tactics that help us lead a positive, happy lifestyle. We hope to see you there!
Our PTA does many amazing things for our Sprouts throughout the year: Birthday Books, Fun Fair, Family Fun Nights and School Communication Folders are just a few of the things the Early Learning Center PTA provides to support our students. Won’t you be a champion for children by taking time to join the PTA?
BECOME A PTA MEMBER!
Please become a member of the ELC PTA! Your membership helps connect you to our school, parent community & all the wonderful events the PTA provides! Membership is open to parents, family members, staff members, community members—anyone who wants to help our Sprouts grow! You can find this year’s membership form here.
NEW UPDATED SCHOOL SPIRIT WEAR:
If you are interested in our new school spirit wear, orders are due back by this Friday, September 20th. You can find the order form for spirit wear for the whole family here.
Drop Off and Pick Up Reminders:
All students should be dropped off and picked up at the front door of the Early Learning Center. All families are asked to use the crosswalk and not go between buses for safety reasons. We also ask every adult who is picking up a student to have a valid ID on hand just in case your child has a substitute teacher or if you are sending another adult who you have verified is able to pick up your child. We do this for safety reasons to make sure we are sending your child home with the correct adult. We are sorry for any inconvenience this might cause. We thank you for your support with these reminders and appreciate your understanding!
The safety of all of our ELC students is a top priority for us. Each year we undergo practice scenarios that allow our staff and students to simulate a crisis situation. These practices include evacuating from the school building and buses, taking shelter during a weather related crisis and responding to an emergency situation in the school building. Please see the attached letter for more information.
Please see below for some important upcoming dates and District 54 activities.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
