Dear Early Learning Center Community,
Thanks to everyone who came out to support District 54 at the annual Run to Read last weekend. We saw lots of ELC families and staff participating and cheering on the runners. We appreciate your support for our district-wide initiative to have 1,000 books in every classroom. Another big thank you to everyone who came out for our Family Happiness Night on Thursday. We had a great turnout and loved watching our Sprouts and families enjoying the activities focused around the 5 Tactics of Happiness!
It’s hard to believe but October arrives this week! We are excited to see all of our families next week for Parent Teacher Conferences. Our teachers are excited to share the progress our students have made since the beginning of the year.
October Parent/Teacher Conferences: If you have not yet secured a time to meet with your child’s teacher on Thursday, October 10th or Friday, October 11th, feel free to reach out to them directly.
Book Fair – October 10th & October 11th: On October 10th and 11th, our very own ELC PTA (Parent Teacher Association) will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair during Parent/Teacher Conferences right outside of our multipurpose room. Stop by to pick up a few new books for your home library or select a book to donate to your child’s classroom. Happy Shopping and Reading!
PTA Fundraiser: Need a break from cooking this Wednesday? Stop by Portillos and participate in our first PTA fundraiser of the year! Share this flyer for 20% of your order to benefit our ELC PTA!
ELC Toiletry Drive: The Early Learning Center is hosting a food and toiletries drive from September 30th to October 11th. Flyers will be sent home in your student’s backpack with more information this week. Feel free to bring any donations with you to Parent-Teacher Conferences. Contact your classroom social worker with any questions.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend,
Julie Gorvett & Kelly Dvoracek
