Dear Early Learning Center Community,
Can you believe that Halloween is this Thursday? We’re sure excited to celebrate with our costume parade and some fun classroom activities! With the fall weather settling in, please make sure your child is coming to school dressed for outside play and the weather. If we can, we play outside daily!
From Our School Nurse
This is a reminder to periodically examine your child’s head for lice. It is especially important to look behind the ears and at the nape of the neck, for crawling lice and nits. While the transmission of lice in school is not likely, it is good to get in the habit of checking your child’s head regularly. Please feel free to call the school nurse if you have questions about how to make this practice part of your routine at home.
The ELC’s Halloween celebration will take place this Thursday, October 31st. Students should come dressed in their costumes to school that day. Our student parade will begin in the building at 8:15 am for our morning session and 11:45 am for our afternoon session. Weather permitting, we will parade outside of the building as well for parents. Parents are welcome to observe the parade from outside, and student dismissal is at our usual Thursday times.
Halloween is a fun and special time of year for many children. In order to ensure the safety and well-being of all of our children, please keep in mind the following considerations:
We appreciate your support in following these guidelines so Halloween is enjoyable for all.
