Dear Early Learning Center Community,
It looks as if some cool weather is on it’s way next week, please be sure your child is dressed properly for this change in temperature so he/she can enjoy the outdoors during our gross motor time. We’d also like to remind all families who take the bus, that snacks and food cannot be eaten or sent on the ride to school. We want to make sure that all students are safe while riding and not affected by allergies or a choking hazard while in transit to school. Thank you for your help with this safety concern.
Vision and Hearing Screening at School
Vision and hearing screening will be taking place throughout District 54 during the entire school year. Early Learning Center students will have vision screening and hearing screening in December. It is important to note that vision screening at school is not a substitute for a complete eye and vision evaluation by an eye doctor. Children who wear glasses and/or are under the care of an eye doctor do not receive vision screening at school Please feel free to contact your school nurse anytime during the school year for a vision or hearing screening if you have a concern.
For safety reasons, please make sure you let the office and your child’s teacher know well in advance if you will be picking your child up and they will not be going on the bus. It is difficult for all when these requests are made so close to the end of our sessions. Thank you in advance for your help with this.
