Dear Early Learning Center Community,
By now you’ve received Superintendent Andy DuRoss’ letter to our D54 families. Although we will not be in session at school, we hope that each day you and your child will engage in the learning activities through the Choose Your Own Adventure plan that was sent home in our canvas bags yesterday. Inside the canvas bag, along with the Choose Your Own Adventure plan and calendar we’ve included a journal for writing and/or drawing, a pencil, crayons, and playdoh to support these learning activities. If your child was absent on Thursday or Friday, the ELC will be open for families to stop in and pick-up their Choose Your Own Adventure bag on Monday during our normal school hours. We will begin this Adventure together as a building on Wednesday, March 18th together.
Although we won’t be in session for our Happiness Spirit Week, we encourage you to participate from home. We’d love for you to share your pictures with us via our social media sites on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Please feel free to tag us or your child’s teacher and use the hashtag #WeAreELC.

Happiness Spirit Days From Home:
Parent Portal and Report Cards: Parents will have access to student online report cards on Friday, March 13th through the parent portal. All parents and guardians, who have not previously created a portal account, please contact our office to receive an access code.
PTA Info: A big thank you to all of our families who attended our McTeacher Night this week at McDonald’s. We all had a great time eating and visiting with all of you! We truly appreciate your support for our ELC PTA who does some much for all of our Sprouts!
As always, thank you for your continued partnership. Although we are faced with a unique situation, we look forward to continuing our collaborative efforts and connecting with you all virtually. We encourage you to find some time to read books together daily and remember the best way for our Sprouts to learn at this age is through engagement, conversations and especially PLAY.
